Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings for performances and related services provided by Legerdemain Magic, including close-up magic, mind reading and cabaret-style performances for corporate events, private parties, weddings and trade shows.

1. Booking and Acceptance

A booking is only confirmed when the event details are agreed in writing (email is acceptable) and any requested booking fee has been received.

By confirming a booking, the client agrees to these terms and conditions.

2. Event Details

The client is responsible for providing accurate event information, including date, venue, access times, performance timings and a named on-site contact.

Any changes to the event schedule, location or running order must be provided as soon as possible.

3. Fees and Payment

Performance fees are quoted per event and are confirmed at the time of booking.

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the balance is due before or on the event date.

Where extra time, additional performances or significant schedule changes are requested, additional fees may apply.

4. Travel and Venue Requirements

For events outside central London, agreed travel and accommodation costs (where applicable) may be added to the booking fee.

The client is responsible for ensuring the venue is safe, suitable and legally compliant for the performance.

5. Delays and Overruns

If the event start is delayed due to reasons outside the performer’s control, Legerdemain Magic will make reasonable efforts to adapt within available time.

If the event runs beyond the agreed finish time, any extension is subject to availability and may be charged.

6. Cancellations and Postponements

If the client cancels after confirmation, cancellation charges may apply to cover reserved time and lost work opportunities.

Where possible, postponed bookings may be moved to a mutually agreed new date, subject to availability.

7. Client Responsibilities

The client must ensure a professional and respectful environment for all performers and guests.

Legerdemain Magic reserves the right to stop or suspend a performance where there is threatening, unsafe or unlawful behaviour.

8. Recording and Publicity

Photography and short social media clips are usually fine for personal/event use.

Any commercial recording, broadcast, resale or paid advertising use requires prior written permission.

9. Intellectual Property

Performance material, scripts, routines, staging concepts and related creative assets remain the intellectual property of Legerdemain Magic unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Liability

Legerdemain Magic will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the total amount paid for the booking and excludes indirect or consequential loss.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party will be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, venue closure, illness, government restrictions or similar events.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.
