Magic at a corporate event can do more than entertain. It can highlight a product, reinforce strategic objectives or bring company values to life—giving guests a surprising experience connected to something you want them to remember.
Make messages memorable
Presentations, speeches and videos all have their place. Magic offers another way to capture attention: it arouses curiosity, involves people directly and gives them something to talk about.
At a team offsite, magic can reinforce themes such as collaboration, change or innovation. An effect involving several participants might illustrate teamwork, while a magical appearance could introduce a new product.
Attract attention at trade shows
Magic at trade shows can attract visitors to your stand and create opportunities for conversations.
Incorporating a product benefit or campaign message gives the performance a relevant purpose and provides a natural opening for your sales team to continue the discussion.
Connect with your audience
Sometimes the goal is to find a new way of connecting with your audience.
For my work with NIVEA for Men, I helped develop an online campaign featuring simple bar tricks designed to help men feel more confident in social situations. I contributed to the creative concept, selected and adapted the tricks, and appeared on camera.
Projects like this require more than adding a logo to a familiar trick. The magic needs to make sense within the campaign and work for its intended audience.
Corporate magic designed around the event
Effective bespoke corporate magic begins with understanding the event’s purpose, audience and desired tone. Early conversations allow the performance to develop alongside the event.
Personalisation can also recognise a guest of honour, senior leader or VIP. Incorporating them into an effect creates a personal moment without requiring a formal stage show.
Not every occasion requires bespoke material. Sometimes polished close-up magic is exactly what is needed. But when an event has an important story to tell, personalisation can give the entertainment a wider purpose.
My background in corporate communications helps me understand both sides of that process: creating an engaging performance while supporting the event’s objectives.
